There are two types of edge lines, namely urban development edge lines and coastal edge lines, - theformer being a medium- to long-term edge line, where the line has been demarcated in a position tophase urban growth appropriately, or to protect natural resources. The original Provincial gazette notice for the Coastal Management line was adopted on 19 March 2021, which was used as a basis for the Council approved MSDF Coastal Edge (January 2023).
