The TCT Road Centreline Feature Class was derived from a variety of line source features owned by the City of Cape Town. These include best versions of PROW, Pavement Management Systems and Planning and Development Management after which connectivity was imposed. Manual edits were also introduced to fill gaps.
The segments follow an intersection-to-intersection approach which is in line with Asset Management Requirements for Transport for Cape Town. Unique Identifiers for each segement has been added which aided the transfer of meaningfull attributes attached to each segment. |
